All livestock exhibitors must be QA certified. See below for the guidelines and certification form.
Terminal Show Information
Swine: All Market Swine, whether eligible or ineligible, must be forwarded to slaughter as this is a terminal show.
- All market hogs will be shipped on Monday of the fair.
- Gilts in the breeding show will not be shipped.
Lambs: The Nebraska State Fair is a terminal show for the Grand and Reserve Champion Market Lambs only. All other Market Lambs can be sold on a voluntary basis by FFA members.
Goats: The Nebraska State Fair is a terminal show for the Grand and Reserve Champion Market Goats only. All other Market Goats can be sold on a voluntary basis by FFA members.
Beef: The Nebraska State Fair is a terminal show for the Grand and Reserve Champion Market Beef only. All other Market Beef can be sold on a voluntary basis by FFA members.
Elite Showman Competition
The Nebraska Department of Agriculture, along with the Rural Radio Network, will be hosting the 12th Annual Elite Showman Competition on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at the Nebraska State Fair.
The competition is open to both 4-H and FFA youth.

Livestock Ethics and Disclosure Form
Exhibitors and parents should complete this form and present it when checking in animals at the State Fair. This form replaces the IAFE form used for previous State Fairs.
Dairy Judging Information
The 2012 State FFA dairy judging contest will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Grand Island in conjunction with the Nebraska State Fair and is organized by Mike Roeber of Northeast Community College.
